- 100% GRASS FED/FINISHED TALLOW: At Hearth and Homestead, we only use carefully, hand-selected cuts of suet (the protective fat around the kidneys that stores nutrients) for our tallow. Then we hand-process and hand-render with our proprietary process to result in a clean, pure tallow with only the faintest buttery aroma. Tallow is rich in vitamins A,D,E,K and B1 as well as stearic and oleic fatty acids and saturated fat.
